We do not take in any pedigrees except perhaps Persian cats. If you are looking to rescue a pedigree cat
(they need rehoming too just like ordinary moggies) please go to our Cat Related Links page and go to the CatChat website/Rehoming/Pedigree
Rescues A - Z by breed.
All cats have been vet checked prior to admission to the Sanctuary (vaccinated,
neutered if over 4-5 months old, microchipped etc).
Please read the page "Wanting to rehome a cat..." before looking at the cats listed
below. You will be asked to complete a detailed questionnaire about your circumstances and other suitability checks.
Our welfare officer is in charge of rehoming, and she will then assess whether any of the
cats currently at the Sanctuary are suitable to be shown to you. Please do not be offended if you are refused a
particular cat or kitten. We take our rehoming responsibilities seriously and if we think a cat isn’t suitable,
we will explain why. We get to know them very well and we have many years' experience predicting where, and with
whom, a cat or kitten will fit in so that they do not have to come back to us, which is very disorientating for them.
All
cats are short haired unless otherwise stated.
Some
current examples of our cats for rehoming are:-Ike and Gordon - Ginger male and tabby male respectively,
aged 1 year and to go together.
Brenda - Grey and white 5 year old female, needing an adult home - *see note at

* In one chalet we usually have two or three cats that need individual homes (to be an only cat) as each has suffered
from bladder stones and needs to be on a special Prescription diet (ie. Walthams Urinary food and Walthams
Urinary biscuits only) as the stones may reoccur. We are prepared to supply their special food and cover any veterinary
treatment relating to this condition.
These cats are currently Brenda and Bella.
